East Town Resources

Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association (DMNA) – The Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association is organized and operated to promote the common good and general welfare of the community.

Elliot Park Neighborhood, Inc.(EPNI) – Bringing people and resources together to preserve and promote the unique urban character of the historic Elliot Park Neighborhood.

The Commons Park Minneapolis – The Commons is downtown Minneapolis’ 4.2 acre public green space.  It is a respite from the work day, a neighborhood park, an entertainment destination and an anchor of East Town.

East Town Development (Inactive) – The mission of the Downtown Development Committee is to focus on goals around downtown population and business growth (including retail), and connections to the University of Minnesota.

Minneapolis Big Build – The Minneapolis Big Build is a campaign led by MDC-MDID and Meet Minneapolis. It aims at raising awareness about the transformation Minneapolis is undergoing.

Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District – making downtown cleaner, safer, greener and better in order to achieve a more vital and vibrant downtown.

GREATERMSP – (Minneapolis Saint Paul Regional Economic Development Partnership) is a private non-profit organization (501C3) dedicated to providing public and private sector leadership, coordination and engagement to grow the economy of the 16-county Minneapolis Saint Paul region. With its economic development partners throughout the region, GREATER MSP is advancing a coordinated regional economic development strategy, a coordinated regional brand to promote the region’s assets, and a coordinated regional business retention, expansion, and recruitment program to stimulate capital investment and job creation in the region.

Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce – The Minneapolis Regional Chamber engages with members to advocate for a positive business environment, enhance economic prosperity, and build partnerships that help to advance our region’s interests.

Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) – MPRB was created in 1883 as an independently elected, semi-autonomous body responsible for governing, maintaining, and developing the Minneapolis park system- an important component of what makes Minneapolis a great place to live, play and work.
