ETBP Business Forum scheduled for October 22, at 11 a.m., via Zoom

The next ETBP Business Forum will take place on Thursday, October 22, at 11 a.m. via Zoom. The title for this forum is “Learning from Perennial Disruption Navigators: A Start Up and Entrepreneurial Community Round Table.”

This event is FREE, but please RSVP via Zoom.  You will receive the Zoom login link upon registration.

 Description

The Twin Cities start-up and entrepreneurial community lives every day expecting and responding to disruption. This panel moderated by Jacquie Berglund, CEO of Finnegans Brew Co. will serve as both an update on how entrepreneurialism has shifted during the pandemic and offer thought leadership about the pivots that innovative business leaders’ practice in moments of disruption.

  • Darcy Olson, Founder and CEO of Let’s Dish

Junita Flowers – Driven by the limitless opportunities to forge new paths and strengthen community through entrepreneurship, Junita built upon her experiences from the nonprofit sector and began her work as a social entrepreneur. As the Founder/CEO of Junita’s Jar, a mission-driven cookie company, Junita continues to empower young adults as leaders, by fostering open dialogue and increasing awareness among college students on reducing the occurrences of relationship violence against women.

Bella Lam – Bella Lam is the Founder of Coconut Whisk, a Community Health Education Graduate from MSU-Mankato, 2020 #AerieReal Changemaker, Finnovation Fellowship Finalist, LunarStartup, and ImpactSKU Member. She’s dedicated to using her unique experiences as an immigrant, first-generation college student and community educator to inspire others to dream big and take action.

Katie Myhre –  With work spanning various areas of food system advocacy, Katie’s central focus has been innovating to support small food and farm businesses on a regional scale, as well as using economic development as a platform for social change. As an undergraduate at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, Katie launched RED Market, an online wholesale marketplace aimed at supporting farmers making direct marketing connections in Minneapolis-St. Paul metro, as a means of diversifying farm sales at farmers markets. Katie has partnered with various community organizations as a consultant, presenter, board member, and staff member at Frank and Ernest Markets, NEON, Appetite for Change, and the Sustainable Farming Association, and just finished a year as a Social Entrepreneurship Fellow through the FINNOVATION Lab. Always an advocate for the adoption of creative technology tailored towards farms, she currently serves as the Farm Direct Technology Manager at the national non-profit Farmers Market Coalition.

Darcy Olson – For 17 years, Let’s Dish! has brought peace of mind to dinnertime for their customers, and a great place to work for their team.   Let’s Dish! has been evolving and pivoting from day one to make life better (and tastier) with continuous recipe development and convenient services to best meet the needs of today’s modern world.

Darcy’s entire career has been in the food industry from her first summer job as a grocery store cashier to a 15 year career in the consumer packaged goods industry with The Nestle Food Company, Pillsbury, and General Mills in a variety of Sales, Management, Product Sales Management, and Organization and Training Development. Darcy graduated from Iowa State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, with a speech and advertising emphasis.
